~ Feelings ~

I have come to learn
I don’t have to feel
what someone else
wants me to feel

That doesn’t serve me
and it doesn’t serve them

Their feelings
are theirs alone
irrelevant
to my feelings

When I honor their feelings
and I am true
to my own feelings
I am free to react
in a way that can serve
all concerned.
