For years
we do what everyone
tells us to do
We grow up!
At some point
we realize
it was never
about our age
It was conformity
to a society
that has lost touch
with the reality of life
Gently nudged
by our inner being
we return to
the magic and curiosity
Of our joyful child self
that dances through life
to the self created music
that continues to rejoice.
